Sanctuary Place offers newly built, furnished homes providing affordable housing for people who are on a pension, low-income earners, and on Newstart. Our residents’ lifestyle is centred around freedom, dignity, respect, and safety in a micro-community of like-minded men or women.

The Process

APPLICATION FORM

Each prospective resident will be required to complete an application form.

INTAKE QUESTIONNAIRE

Applicants will also need to sign an authority form authorising due diligence checks to be carried out. We will also do an over the phone questionnaire to gather more information to determine the correct placement.

INTERVIEW

Each prospective resident will be interviewed for the opportunity to become a Sanctuary Place resident.

OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT

Should the application be accepted, the applicant will be required to sign an Occupancy Agreement and confirm in writing that they have read, understood and agree to abide by the standard of living and expectations of Sanctuary Place.

Permanent Supportive Homes Ethos

Sanctuary Place encourages and supports a permanent culture ethos that includes ‘how to build community’. Our social enterprise centres and flows around an organic and sustainable ecosystem that promotes personal and community development. This ethos expands to stand for permanent culture to regenerate and self-maintain your quality of life.

Housing Terms

Below is a list of items which form the foundation of Sanctuary Place residences

Occupancy fee is per room per week is inclusive of utilities.

Lawn, and general maintenance will be maintained by Sanctuary Place
3

Smoking inside the residence is not permitted.
4

Group rules will be established.

Cleaning is the responsibility of each household occupant
6

The confines of the residence are a resident only area.
7

Separate external meeting area for visitors, families and residents.
8

Your home will be tastefully decorated with comfort afforded throughout.
9

External community organisations will be encouraged to provide services.
